Another piece of Gears of War 4’s marketing push included a promotional partnership with Rockstar Energy and Xbox. The promotion created Rockstar Energy’s Art Series, with forty millions cans in the US and UK featuring original Gears of War 4 inspired art from four notable artists from around the world. Every purchase of a Rockstar Energy product included codes for in-game downloadable content.
